Nomination and election of delegates can be found in the Local 161 Constitution and Bylaws: Article Five, Section 1, “Delegates to the International Convention.” Delegates are elected to attend the IATSE Quadrennial, but they also attend District Conventions.
Local 161 can send one (1) delegate for the charter and one (1) additional delegate for one hundred (100) members, or major portion thereof.
The President, Vice President and Treasurer are automatically delegates by virture of office.
Remaining delegates were elected by the membership in 2022. The final delegates list is determined by the active members averaged across the 16 quarterly reports between Q2 2021 and Q1 2025. The next delegation will be elected in 2028 during that Quadrennial year.
